I have a 3year old son named Christopher Gabriel and a beautiful daughternamed Alyssa Ann. I became a mother quit young in my life andhad to substitute a lot of my wants and needs for the wants andneeds of my children. As I sit and watch my children grow up Iwant them to have all the experiences I had as a child plus somuch more. So I thought about opening my own business. I thoughtto myself, I would be able to provide for my children the waythat they needed as they grew up. Curtain Call is a competitive performing arts theater. Its solepurpose is to capitalize on the talents of all performers whilecreating an entertaining, uplifting, high-energy environment.Unlike other theaters it's not an empty stage waiting to berented nor is it going to be tailored to appeal to one type ofaudience. Call will market to and catch the eye ofanyone seeking to be entertained. I have had a background indance and a foundation in all aspects of stage performance. Iappreciates the dedication of entertainers and understands thedesire of these entertainers to express their talents. Allentertainers, Myself included, have a dream of being"discovered." It is not only heartbreaking but extremelydiscouraging to see these hopes and dreams fade or worsecompletely diminished. My goal is to give people this invaluableopportunity to live their dreams even if it's for a moment.Curtain Call is not just for entertainers. Call providesa clean environment of unprecedented theater entertainment. Thelaxed environment consisting of round table seating with cateredfood provides the audience with an enjoyable, unforgettableevening.
I started to work at the young age of 12 just so that I couldpay for my dance classes. There were way too many kids in ourfamily for my mom and dad to pay. So for me I would like to havethat option open for my children. I want to be able to give mychildren all the experience they want and need. I have been indance my whole life. Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Dance Companiesthat I took in and out of High School. So in the back of my mindI always dreamed of opening my own dance studio. Well about twoyears ago I started to write a business plan. Then I look at allof the studios I have been apart of and I thought to my self Iwould never want to compete against these people they are myteachers, my friends and some my family. So Why not open astudio where they can all come and compete in front of a liveaudience. But why
stop at dancers? We want dancers, singers,comedians, magicians, models and anyone else that has a talentthey want to share. So it took me two years to write a businessplan for Call, a Performing Arts Dinner Theater. I thought if I come up with a business plan that blows peopleaway I will have no problem opening my business. Well I waswrong. I have tried every SBA Loan possible. Now what they don'ttell you about SBA loans is that you have to have a dollarsworth of collateral to back up your loan. Well if I had that Ireally wouldn't need an SBA loan. I am have taken the time towrote my Grant proposle and have submitted it to many agenciesor foundations. Which if you have any idea is not an easyprocess. So the reason behind this article is to see if anyone one outthere has any input what so ever one what my next step shouldbe. Or if there are any investors Out there that would like toparticipate I am so willing to work things out. I would love tohear from anyone and everyone just to know what you think aboutmy idea.
